Cellular concrete, aerated concrete or Ytong is used in construction and is a porous material with poor insulating properties. However, it does not fall under regular building and demolition waste and must be sorted separately.
Just like many construction waste streams, cellular concrete is easily recycled. Used, ground aerated concrete can replace sand in cement production. This cuts down on the use of primary materials.
Choose a type of waste to see what is or is not allowed.
