Medical risk waste refers to waste contaminated by a virus or bacteria, cytostatic waste (cancer treatment) and sharp objects etc. Bandages, tissues, syringes without needles, plaster waste, biological fluids and absorbed or dried blood are considered non-risk medical waste.
Medical risk waste must be incinerated at a very high temperature in special, energy recovery furnaces. We are able to boast excellent levels of expertise in managing medical waste and also have the required licences to transport such waste.
