Solvents are released during industrial manufacturing to dissolve reagents. These volatile chemical products are often highly flammable, which means special measures must be taken when storing them.
After being pre-treated, these kinds of solvents and thinners are used as secondary fuel in cement furnaces or in similar incineration processes. The solvents serve as fuel and replace primary fuel. They thus contribute to reducing extraction and incineration CO2 emissions. PCBs or chlorine-based solvents are stored separately.
