These are old tyres from privately-owned vehicles, 4WDs, trailers and caravans without the wheel rims. Tyres can also come from vans, light professional vehicles, motorbikes and scooters and even planes!
Vehicle tyres are taken away as part of the Recytyre collection programme. These tyres are moulded and used for various purposes. The granulate can also be used in the manufacture of play mats, sports hall floors, games equipment and for road surfacing. Tyre waste that is not suitable for recycling can be used as primary and secondary material in the cement industry.
